This course supports the safe, proportionate, and ethical use of the Safety Pod as a least-restrictive intervention option in situations where there is an immediate risk of harm.
Learners will:
- Understand the physiological and psychological safety benefits of the Safety Pod
- Apply correct preparation, positioning, and use
- Integrate the Safety Pod into care plans, risk assessments, and reporting
- Explore real-world restraint-reduction case examples
Successful completion enables recognition as a Safety Pod Practitioner.
Please note: A valid instructor qualification is required to enrol in this course. You must also have access to a Safety Pod to complete Module 4, which includes the practical skills component.
