Safety Pod Practitioner Course

An advanced add-on module for existing, in-date, qualified physical intervention instructors.

This course supports the safe, proportionate, and ethical use of the Safety Pod as a least-restrictive intervention option in situations where there is an immediate risk of harm.

Learners will:

• Strengthen your expertise with an evidence led understanding of the physiological safety benefits of the Safety Pod
• Build confidence in delivering safe, effective preparation, positioning, and use within your existing training model
• Seamlessly integrate the Safety Pod into care planning, risk assessment, and incident reporting supporting consistent, defensible practice Learn from evidence informed case studies demonstrating measurable reductions in restrictive practices across services

• Validate your competence through the worlds first online physical intervention evaluation process enhancing credibility and setting you apart as a leader in least restrictive practice Successful completion enables recognition as a Safety Pod Practitioner.

Please note: A valid instructor qualification is required to enrol in this course. You must also have access to a Safety Pod to complete Module 4, which includes the practical skills component.
